Saving car fuel

If someone told me that for about £20-£30 you could save up to 50% on fuel, I would say that can't be done but for some strange reason I gave it a go on my escort van and got my outlay back within two weeks. It took me a morning to make and less than an hour to fit it and all of the parts came from the locals shops. On my first try I only got a 30% saving, my mpg went from 35mpg to 47mpg but with a bit more fine turning I now get 55mpg and still working on getting more which is not bad for an old escort van with 150,000 miles.

How it work is by using water to make a small amount of hydrogen and oxygen and putting it into the engine. This makes the engine run smoother and cooler so there is less wasted power. A normal car engine only uses 20% of the energy from the fuel to make it go forward the rest is wasted in heat and sound. All the items you need can be brought from locals shops. I have made a shopping list for you.

  • 1 large glass jar (mine I found in food cupboard with pasta in it)
  • 1 Plastic lid (a metal lid will do but remember to insulate the electrical connections)
  • Small piece of perspex
  • Electrode wire, this needs to be 316l grade stainless steel wire 10 metres (I used stainless steel welding wire 0.8mm but locking wire is best as it is easier to use)
  • A few washers, bolts, nuts and two wing nuts
  • Check valve (from a fish tank)
  • A bubbler/air stone also from a fish tank
  • A piece of tubing for the air stone (the height of the jar)
  • Adjustable Dripper (from a garden centre used for self watering systems)
  • Elbow fitting (1 for a diesel and 2 for a petrol)
  • Some hose to fit the the elbow fitting, about a metre in length
  • Some wire and an inline fuse
  • Some baking soda not baking powder (there is a difference as I found out)
  • distilled water, enough to fill the jar (I used rain water caught in a plastic bucket)

I have just fitted one to my friends Marc and he is getting a 30% increase. Here are some Photos of my installation. It is very easy to make and fit, if I can do it anyone can.

I have have looked at must of the plans on the internet and found two of the best ones. You can download the plans for about £15 at HHO Booster or for about £25 you can get allot more information and the plans that I use at The ULTIMATE Gas Saver Guide. Good luck and I hope you save as much as I do.
